Wheels bus riders have several options to get to the Alameda County Fair during its run from this Friday (Oct. 22) through Halloween.

Passengers can take Route 8 from the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station to downtown Pleasanton and also access the Alameda County Fairgrounds via the western entrances on Valley Avenue. Buses for Route 8 run every 30 to 60 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends.

Route 10R also runs between the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station and the downtown Livermore Transit Center via downtown Pleasanton, and runs every 30 to 60 minutes seven days a week. Passengers should exit the bus downtown on Peters Avenue to access the fairgrounds from the eastern entrance, about a ten minute walk away.

Riders can also take advantage of Wheels’ Go Tri-Valley program, which pays up to $5 for rideshare trips on Uber and Lyft that start and end in Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore.

Route 52, also known as the Wheels Fair Shuttle, will not operate during the fair this year.
