Work on the Harvest Park Middle School library in Pleasanton recently finished, after more than a year of construction, and was commemorated with a recent virtual ribbon cutting ceremony.
The building was originally damaged by a fire in July 2018 and rendered unusable until now. An interim library was quickly designed and built by that fall, and served the campus during the original library’s demolition and subsequent rebuild.
Demolition started in April 2019, with restoration work following last fall and finishing late this summer. The district’s insurance policy covered the cost of construction.
