A 22-year-old employee at Valle Verde Home Care, located in the 6500 block of Via San Blas, was arrested last Friday for allegedly forging personal checks belonging to one of the home’s residents.

Police allege Patrick Prieto wrote two $6,000 checks to himself using the victim’s personal checks.

The victim’s sister noticed the bank account was “unusually low,” reviewed the checking account and saw the two checks issued to the Pleasanton resident, said police.

When confronted by police, Prieto allegedly admitted he forged the checks. He was arrested on suspicion of forgery, elder abuse and grand theft.
