Amador senior Amy T. Tam and Foothill seniors Kyle Adkins and Jay Wang were named candidates to this year’s Presidential Scholar Program. Only 2,600 of the nearly 2.8 million students expected to graduate this year are selected on the basis of their performance on the SAT or ACT. A panel of educators will now review the students’ applications. In April, 500 semi-finalists will be named and in May one male and one female winner will be chosen from each state.
