Here is your latest EBAL football power rankings for the weekend of Sept. 17-18:

Mountain division

1. California (4-0): Another week, another blow-out for the Grizzlies, this time thumping Milpitas 41-7. Through their first four games Cal is averaging 52 points a game. Amador beat Milpitas 37-7 earlier this year so Cal-Amador will be a great one. Next up: At Dublin, 7 p.m. Friday night.

2. Amador Valley (4-0): The Dons defense prevailed once again as Amador battled to a 13-0 win over Granada. It appears the Dons will be getting back some of the offensive weapons back from the injury list this week, but wow – that defense. After giving up seven points in week one, the Amador defense has pitched three straight shutouts. Up next: Foothill at Amador, Friday at 7 p.m.

3. San Ramon Valley (2-1): I think a tougher than expected 21-17 win over Antioch leaves San Ramon feeling unsettled. Up next: Las Lomas at SRV, Friday at 7 p.m.

4. Clayton Valley (2-1): No game after a suspicious last second cancelation from Stellar Prep of Hayward, leaving the Clayton staff rightfully upset. Up next: Benicia at CV, Friday at 7 p.m.

5. Monte Vista (3-0): An impressive 21-14 win over a strong Liberty team shows that the Mustangs will be right in the thick of things in the Mountain division. Up next: El Cerrito at MV, Friday at 7 p.m.

Valley division

1. Foothill (3-1): Following a tough loss to Vanden, the Falcons bounced back with a 42-point first half in a 49-6 win over what has become a porous Freedom team. Up next: At Amador, Friday at 7 p.m.

2. Dublin (3-1): A 46-8 win over Irvington, following a tough 7-0 loss to Amador is good enough to vault the Gaels to the No. 2 spot this week. Up next: Hosting Cal, Friday at 7 p.m.

3. Livermore (3-1): The Cowboys suffer their first loss, falling to a 2-2 American Canyon team 27-21. That is two sub-par performances for Livermore. Up next: Hosting Newark Memorial, Friday at 7 p.m. It is get-well times for Livermore!

4. Dougherty Valley (3-0): The Wildcats are loving life right after blasting Mt. Diablo 65-22. The team has yet to score less than 40 in a game. Up next: Hosting Deer Valley, Friday at 7 p.m.

5. Granada (1-3): I was looking at the game against Amador as a measuring stick as to the quality of the Mats and hanging within 13-0 shows Granada is by far better than they were in the spring. Up next: at San Leandro, Friday, 7 p.m.
