Mustang Celtic under-12 boys soccer team, coached by Hugh Kinnear and assisted by Ryan Edwards, traveled to Redmond, Wash. to compete at the Nike Crossfire Challenge Soccer Tournament where it played against teams from the state of Washington and Oregon. On their way to the championship, Mustang Celtic won five games with zero draws or losses. Team results included four shutouts and 38 goals scored, with only two scored against. Mustang Celtic’s early season tournament record is now three tournaments played and three championships with a record of 14-0-0, nine shutouts and a goal differential of 73. Local boys playing on the team are represented from Pleasanton, Castro Valley and Danville.
