The Pleasanton Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place outside the Chase bank on Old Santa Rita Road on Monday, according to a department spokesman.

Pleasanton police Sgt. Marty Billdt told the Weekly that around 1:40 p.m. Monday a woman who was sitting in her car with her door open after having withdrawn money from the bank when she was suddenly approached by a suspect who grabbed her wallet.

“The victim was able to retain her wallet, but the suspect ran away with about $100,” Billdt said.

He said no weapons were reported to be seen during the incident.

The robber was then seen getting into a gray sedan along with two other suspects before driving southbound on Santa Rita Road. Billdt said that because all three were wearing facemasks and black clothing, there are currently no other details on the suspects.
