The owner of a condominium was unhurt when she drove her minvan into her home this morning, but she and her family may have to find another place to stay for a while.

The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department received a call to the condo in the 700 block of St. Michael Circle at about 8:12 this morning. There they found the woman unhurt and out of the vehicle. But firefighters also found the crash had severed a water line, flooding the unit, and damaged electrical lines as well.

“Firefighters shut down the utilities to the condominium and performed water removal. The LPFD also requested a City of Pleasanton Building Official and PG&E to the scene for safety assessments,” said Battalion Chief Joe Testa in a news release. “The building was deemed to be structurally intact, but water and electrical remained off for repairs.”

A police spokesperson said the woman accidentally put her car in the wrong gear and lost control.

It was uncertain whether the residents would be able to return to the condominium today, according to Testa’s news release.
