  1. Great facility, but parking is atrocious. Can’t even imagine what it will be like when the old 24 closes, plus they are signing people up by the dozens every night. They need to come to an agreement with the business neighbors around them to allow parking in the evening when the other businesses are closed. Literally spent 15 minutes one night trying to get a spot to park.

  2. After 16 years using the Linda Evans, Butterfly, Kathy’s place, I’ve decided to stay at that location. It’s now a Gold’s, co-ed, has several of our great old instructors…I’ve attended 2 of their Zumba classes, one with a fav. previous instructor. This week they’re
remodeling all, but everything is positive so far. For me, much preferable to the giant places with parking problems…I want to shoot in and out, and faster, smaller in&out place.

  3. I wonder what deal 24hr cut with the mayor or city to let them build a new larger club with a smaller parking lot then the old Las Positias facility.

  4. Parking is Horrible. 24 Hour and City should have made a feasibility study on parking. Hopefully they will work something out as the gym itself is good but parking is horendous.

  5. What’s the deal with the Pleasanton City Council and Gold’s? Permits are being held up because the Council doesn’t like the color of the sign or something like that… Can they help it if that’s the official Gold’s logo??

  6. Even if you forgive 24 hour fitness for not planning for enough parking, it is hard to forgive them from how they have mis-managed the issue.

They could at least have some employees in the parking lot to direct traffic. In addition, they should stop marketing to increase membership until the issue is resolved.

But hey…it will be resolved in a few more days – well, that’s what they have be saying for the last 2 months.

  7. After reading the posts about the poor state of economy for everyone in Pleasanton, this post cracks me up. The biggest concern sounds like parking for a gym- does anyone hear the irony? Signing people up by the dozens? Really? I thought no one had money or jobs- just look at the school funding posts. Priorities in this town are a joke.
