A brush fire that began burning Monday in Del Valle Regional Park has charred 18 acres, fire officials said.

The blaze, dubbed the Tesla Fire, was reported about 11:15 a.m. southwest of Lake Del Valle, according to Cal Fire.

As of 2:50 p.m. Monday, the fire’s forward progress had been stopped and crews remained at the scene for mop up and to secure containment lines, Cal Fire said.

No injuries have been reported. The cause is under investigation.
