Autumn is upon us — and with it, a lineup of seasonally inspired events in the city of Dublin.
Kicking off the celebrations this Saturday, Dublin is set to host its annual, family-friendly Harvest Fair at the Dublin Heritage Park and Museums.
The fair is set to have interactive games, a petting zoo, face painting, apple crate and pumpkin ring tosses as well as activities such as gold panning, washboard laundry and butter churning.
Open to the public, the event will also feature art and food vendors.
For those who want to get a taste of the old-fashioned, guests can enter the 1910 Kolb House to see how a farm family lived in the early 20th century.

“Fall is here, Dublin,” city officials wrote on social media. “Whether you’re looking for family fun, festive traditions or a little Halloween thrill, we’ve got you covered — there’s a lot to look forward to!”
Since the city began hosting the annual Harvest Fair in 2011, with the opening of the Dublin Heritage Park and Museums, it has become one of the city’s favorite events, Dublin spokesperson Shari Jackman told the Weekly.
“There is such wonderful history to be found at the park,” Jackman added, given the site’s original buildings like the Kolb family house, hay barn and Sunday school.
The Harvest Fair is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 11).
Following the Harvest Fair, the city’s autumn celebrations continue Oct. 24-25 with the “Ghosts of Dublin”, wherein attendees take flashlight tours at night through the Dublin Pioneer Cemetery.
Also scheduled for Oct. 25 is the Floating Pumpkin Patch at The Wave, where visitors select their pumpkins from a pool and later decorate it, according to the city website. Sessions are scheduled to begin at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m.
During the evening of Oct. 25, Dublin Police Services is set to host the fourth annual Trunk or Treat event from 5-9 p.m. at Don Biddle Community Park.
“This fun, Halloween-inspired event will provide a safe alternative to door-to-door trick or treating,” Dublin officials wrote on the city website. “Dressing in Halloween costumes is highly encouraged!”

The city is also scheduled to continue hosting the Night Market on Oct. 24 and Nov. 21 at St. Pat’s Row. The markets feature food vendors, artisanal goods, live entertainment and cultural performances as well as family-friendly activities and games, the city website states.
Admission to the Harvest Fair is free, while activities are for-purchase. Other fall events may require registration. For more information, visit the city’s website at dublin.ca.gov.
