Hively, a Pleasanton-based child and family support nonprofit, will be hosting another community celebration and fundraising event next month to commemorate 50 years of serving children, families and childcare providers across Alameda County.
The benefit event, titled “Raising Every Voice”, will be held on Oct. 9 at the Shannon Community Center in Dublin from 6-10 p.m. This upcoming event comes roughly five months after the nonprofit celebrated its 50th anniversary at a May 16 community event at a park in Pleasanton.
“Community is and always will be at the heart of Hively’s work,” CEO Mary Hekl said in a press release.
“From our earliest days working out of a garage in Livermore to serving all of Alameda County today, the parents, children, child care providers, and clients we serve make Hively run,” Hekl continued. “Looking ahead to the next fifty years, we are focused on growing our reach and deepening our impact to continue investing in the next generation.”
The “Raising Every Voice” event will kick off with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by dinner, a live auction and a “high-energy performance by dueling pianos”. Attendees will also be able to hear “inspiring stories of hope and impact from community members”.
