The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District Foundation is preparing to host its third annual Wine Down in the Grove fundraiser later this month, with ticket sales for the event currently underway.
The event includes a silent and live auction hosted by auctioneer Marc Roberts, plus a buffet dinner catered by On the Vine Catering – a new addition to the event this year. Attendees will also be able to enjoy wine and beer tastings from local wineries and breweries, guided historic site tours by Ravenswood docents and live music performed by local musician Tim Gomes, according to an announcement from the foundation.
“We are thrilled to host the third edition of ‘Wine Down in the Grove’,” said LARPD Foundation President Connie Campbell. “This event brings together our community for an evening of fun, fundraising and appreciation for our beautiful parks and recreation programs.”
Proceeds from Wine Down in the Grove fund the Community Support Scholarship Program, which offers recreation and swim scholarships to families and individuals in need.
“Each ticket sold funds one more scholarship providing a child the opportunity to learn a valuable life skill and experience the beauty of nature, or allow a senior the chance to grow their community. It is only with your support that we can expand this program and provide scholarships for more families, children, and seniors throughout Livermore,” organizers wrote on the fundraiser’s Eventbrite webpage.
The program also supports park and trail improvement projects throughout the park district and aims to enhance the quality of life for residents of all ages throughout the Livermore community.
“We invite the community to join us for an unforgettable evening while supporting a great cause,” Campbell said. “Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in our community.”
The event is set for June 21 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Ravenswood Historic Site located at 2647 Arroyo Road in Livermore.
Tickets for Wine Down in the Grove, which are $100 per person, are available at www.larpd.org/foundation.
