Livermore Downtown Inc. attracted approximately 300,000 people to its namesake region over the course of nearly a dozen events this past fiscal year, Board President Barbara Benotto said Monday during an annual update to the Livermore City Council.

During the 2024-25 fiscal year, LDI has also offered partnership opportunities to downtown businesses and organizations with associated perks such as promotion, networking events and fee reductions for participating in LDI events.

“2025 has truly been a year of transition and growth for LDI,” first-year Executive Director Kara Klotchman told the council during the 11-minute conversation.

Councilmember Kristie Wang offered her congratulations to LDI on the vibrancy of downtown Livermore and its growth in recent years.

“We’re really on the map,” Wang said of the downtown, citing the influx of visitors and shoppers to the area.

As for the future, LDI plans to expand its Board of Directors in 2026 with three additional positions. The organization also intends to launch new events, extend collaborative marketing and revamp its partnership program.

“We’re excited for what’s ahead and our continued growth with our downtown community,” Klotchman said.
