A lecture and panel discussion about green vehicle alternatives will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Blvd. The subject will include compressed natural gas vehicles, electric vehicles, and other transportation options such as natural gas operated scooters and Segways. Vehicles will be on display. This is the second in a free lecture series by Pleasanton’s Committee on Energy and the Environment. Call 931-5500.

  1. Hmmmmmmm, a “green vehicles alternative” lecture & the Goodguys classic car show taking place within a mile of each other.

    You say it’s just a coincidence? Try not to be offended by the smell of racing gasoline, loud exhausts & engine noise as you purr on by in your hybrids.

  2. Another hazard for the greenies would be to watch out for the draft from those classic cars as they whiz past your wind-up excuses for a car.
