National Day of Prayer is a time where people of all faiths can unite and pray for our country and leaders. We are excersising our constitutional right.
Prayer has always been used in this country for guidance, protection and strength-even before we were a nation or a handful of colonies. The Pilgrims at Plymouth relied on prayer during their first and darkest winter. Our founding fathers also called for prayer during the Constitutional Congress. In their eyes, our recently created nation and freedoms were a direct gift from God. And being a gift from God, there was only one way to insure protection-through prayer.
This is what communist countries do to people who want to practice freedom of religion: http://www.prisoneralert.com/

Pastor Yang Rongli and four other Linfen-Fushan church leaders from Shanxi Province were sentenced to criminal detention for three to seven years, according to China Aid Association.
The five church leaders were accused of “gathering people to disturb the public order,” because they organized a prayer rally on Sept. 14, the day after 400 military police raided the church’s grounds.
During the raid, more than 30 believers were seriously wounded and 17 church buildings were destroyed.
Cholo, you make fun of it? Shame on on you. You obviously have no clue what freedom means. By the way, which one are you in this SF May Day photo? http://www.pleasantonteaparty.com/apps/photos /photo?photoid=80894157
