Do you love animals and have an interest in volunteering? Tri-Valley Animal Rescue will host an orientation for new volunteers from 1-2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 8, at the East County Animal Shelter, 4595 Gleason Dr., Dublin. Learn about current volunteer opportunities, including socializing shelter animals, becoming a dog/cat foster and plenty of other roles you can participate in. Cost is $10 to cover the cost of materials. If you can’t make it tomorrow, there will be another orientation at the same time and place on June 13. Call (408) 202-6708 or visit www.tvar.org.
