Development of a planned housing project in Dublin is set to move forward following the closure of a deal for the 50-acre project site, according to a recent announcement by developers, with construction anticipated to start this year before units go on sale next year.

Residential homebuilders Landsea Homes announced on May 23 that they had closed a deal on the site of their planned 500-unit Dublin Centre project in the east part of the city and are looking to break ground on the project this year.

“Today’s announcement is a huge milestone for Landsea Homes as it marks our largest master-planned community in the Bay Area, supporting our growth for this important region as we create a highly desirable community of new High Performance Homes,” said Tom Baine, Landsea’s California Division president in the Dallas-based company’s announcement last week. “We look forward to seeing all those who will call Dublin Centre home and live in their element for years to come.”

The project is set to consist of both detached single-family homes and attached townhomes, with both “traditional and modern architecture styles,” according to Landsea officials. Prices for the units will be announced at a later date, they said.

Although exact dates have not been announced, development on the project is set to begin this year with sales set to begin late 2025.

Future residents are set to have access to a community swim center and water park plus a gathering area, in addition to being adjacent to a planned entertainment district and existing attractions including Emerald Glen and Fallon Sports parks and the Iron Horse Regional Trail.

“Dublin is an ideal place to call home with its top-rated schools, shopping, dining, and outdoor recreation,” Baine said. “Homes at Dublin Centre will provide buyers with a great overall quality of life.”
