Watch graduation today

The Pleasanton Unified School District will be airing the graduation ceremonies for Foothill and Amador Valley high schools through a closed-circuit “simulcast” as the ceremonies happen today at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively, on the large video screen in the Exhibition Hall venue at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. No school-issued tickets will be required for seating in the hall, which can accommodate 500 additional guests. Seating is available on a first-come basis.

Garden Tour raises $15,000

The “Hidden Gardens of the Valley” garden tour, organized by Realator Charli Hyden, raised more than $15,000 for the Valley Humane Society. All the money will go toward building VHS’s new facility located in Stanley Business Park in Pleasanton. The nonprofit is planning a 5,000 square foot building designed specifically for the health and fair treatment of animals. E-mail Hyden at charli@charlihyden.com for more information on how to help this project.
