A laptop valued at $1,500 was reported stolen from the Kaiser Permanente administrative offices in the 4400 block of Hopyard Road on Feb. 7. The laptop was licensed out to an employee who left it in her unlocked office on the night of Feb. 6, returning in the morning to find it and its power cord missing. Other employees and Kaiser security did not see anything and there are currently no suspects, police said.
Car damaged, jacket stolen
A jacket valued at $500 was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 4300 block of Hacienda Drive Feb. 9 between 7:15 a.m. and 8 a.m. The victim parked his car and locked it in a parking lot, but when he returned less than an hour later, the rear window had been smashed and his jacket, which was on the backseat, was gone. The car was still locked and the alarm had been activated, police said. There were no witnesses and currently police have no suspects.
