Dons outscore Falcons in swimming, diving
The Amador Valley Varsity Swimming and Diving team started off with a big lead and outscored Foothill in 9 of 12 events to post a 114-72 win. The Dons came into the swimming portion of the meet with a 12-4 lead based on the previously held diving event. Amador then won the 200 Medley Relay, and followed with Catherine Breed, Natalie Wong and Marie Schmidt going 1-2-3 in the 200 free. After three events, the Dons had an early 35-7 lead from which they never looked back.
In a parade of Amador dominance, Breed won the 500 free going 1-2 with
Schmidt and Wong won the Fly with Theresa Martin and Alicia Brown going 3-4. Danielle Stickler posted seconds in the 100 free and the backstroke while Jenn Docto won the 50 free and took third in the 100 back. Tory Houston posted Amador´s other individual first place finish in the Breaststroke to go with her second place finish in the IM. Capping the meet for the Dons was the winning 400 free relay team of Wong, Schmidt, Houston, and Breed.
Seahawks go the distance at Far Westerns
The Pleasanton Seahawks went the distance as champions at the Far Western Meet last month in Morgan Hill. Many outstanding swims were recorded, including new Pacific Records, High Point awards and best times.
The list of Far Western Champions includes Catherine Breed, Bryan Hughes, Andrew Seitz and Karen Wang from the senior group and Rachel Knowles, Nick Silverthorn, Nick Johnson and Jason Chen from the pre-senior group.
The Pacific Records were achieved by Catherine Breed in both the 1000/500 free and Bryan Hughes in the 500 free and 400 IM. In addition, Catherine (15-16 Girls) and Bryan Hughes (13-14 Boys) each won High Point awards in their respective age group.
Pythons take 2nd place in baseball classic
The Pleasanton Pythons, a nine-year-old travel baseball team, took second place in the April Baseball Classic at the Manteca Field of Dreams on April 18-19. After round robin play on Saturday, the team came out strong on Sunday by defeating the NorCal Titans 16-3, which advanced the Pythons to the championship game. The championship was a hard fought battle of which the Pythons fell short 7-6 to the Central Valley Heat.

Lacrosse players to play on national championship team
The Pleasanton Lacrosse Club has announced the placement of eight of its players to the NorCal US Lacrosse U15 National Championship Team. The team will travel to Baltimore, Md. to take on tough national competition in July. Team members are: Cambrian Cukar, Kira Ewanich, Lindsey Kail, Laura Klein, Tori Larsen, Alexa Milus, Evan Murphy and Madison Steele.
Tornado Lacrosse team results
The Tornado Lacrosse boys played the South Valley Chiefs April 25 and suffered a 9-7 loss with two goals scored by Michael Roeder and one each by Devin Bell, Ryan Mahoney, Alex Acosta, Justin Garcia, Jake Ackman, with shots by Justin Gibson and Brent Richwood.
Tornado then played Ross Valley Grizzlies and came back with a win over the weekend 10-4. Devin Bell whirling into a cyclonic rage to score three goals in just the first quarter. The Grizzlies, wishing they had stayed home eating honey, were further scored upon by Michael Roeder, Jake Ackman, Will Drake and Justin Garcia, with assists by Andrew Natsch, Sam Sorensen, and Joseph Chacon. All were helped along by shots from Kenton Koos, Alex Acosta, Brent Richwood and Grayson Poe, who also picked up the most grounders at four; others picked up by Andrew Natsch, Logan McHone and Jordan Cain.
