Stoneridge Water Polo takes second in tourney
The Stoneridge Water Polo Club 16 and under boys placed second in the A division of the 2009 Winterfest Water Polo Tournament recently in Southern California. The Winterfest team roster included: Bram Sciammas, Leo Colbert, Matt Beadle, Ian McNair, Michael Hawkins, Geremy Blandino, Matt Jacobe, Conner Sharpe, Tyler Sharpe, Daniel Usedom, Jase Roessler, Chris Dotson. Head coach Dale Shephard and assistant coaches Randy Usedom and Kurt Roessler.
Lacrosse club celebrates achievements
The Pleasanton Lacrosse Club had seven players selected to represent the club on Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association All-Star teams following tryouts recently.
Connor Veit (defender) and Jamirr (midfielder) Holland were selected to the Under-13 all-star team who will compete in Vail, Colorado this summer, while Josh Miller was picked as the goalie for the team who will travel to the U.S. Lacrosse Festival in Ohio, also this summer.
In the under-15 tryouts, Steven Patrick and Mike Barbier were tabbed for the team who will travel to the U.S. National Championships in Baltimore this summer, with Jerome Rigor and George Curtis being selected for the U-15 Vail team.
