Killer Whales edge out Sharks

For the second straight meet, the Pleasanton Meadows Sharks lost a close contest last weekend, falling to the Ruby Hill Killer Whales by 13 points, 488-475.

The Sharks made a late run in the free relay, but couldn’t quite get enough points to get over the top. The Sharks lost the previous Saturday by 30 points to Briar Hill.

Mason Mooney of Ruby Hill finished fourth with a 25.43 time, so the top four swimmers were separated by only .29 seconds. The 11-12-age boys weren’t quite so close, but Perry Cheney, Chris Azuma and Grant Miller took the top three spots just the same. In the 9-10-age boys 100 IM, the Sharks did one better, taking all the points with Nick Tucker, Jack Geasa, Noor Gill and Daniel Newman doing the honors.
