The Foothill Falcons were expected to get a breather yesterday in a non-league game against Lincoln high School on the Falcons field.

The game came after the Falcons took a brutal beating last Friday with a 31-7 loss against California High in San Ramon. The Grizzlies showed superior strength and passing skills, outdistancing the Falcons on moist plays including a 41-yard march down the field that gave California High a 14-0 lead early in the game. That followed a 73-yard touchdown pass minutes earlier to the Grizzlies’ Camden Cook.

Foothill scored its only touchdown in the second quarter with a steady 85-yard march down the field and then a 7-yard run by Rob Andrews across the goal line.

If there were any doubts about the Grizzlies’ power, they were dashed in the final two minutes of the game when California scored two more touchdowns, ending the game with a 31-7 win.
