The Livermore Police Department’s traffic unit is currently investigating an early Monday crash that left one person dead.
LPD officials told Livermore Vine that just after 4 a.m., a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle occurred in the intersection of Airway Boulevard and Isabel Avenue.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
Following the incident, Southbound Isabel Avenue traffic coming off the Interstate 580 freeway was closed for several hours; however, the roadway has since reopened, officials said.
Additional details about the crash were not available as of Monday evening.
