A driver was transported to the hospital after crashing their car into a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Pleasanton Tuesday morning, police said.

Teri Yan, community and public relations coordinator for the Pleasanton Police Department, told the Weekly that police received reports around 11:45 a.m. of a car that crashed into the store located at 3112 Santa Rita Road.

Photos taken at the scene show the Nissan hatchback that ran almost half way through a wall.

“Though no serious injuries were reported, the driver was taken to the hospital,” Yan said.

She said no arrests were made and that a building inspector was called to the scene before the vehicle was towed.

PPD has not commented as of time of publication as to what may have caused the crash.
