Welcome to the Playbook!
It’s time for another week of the Tri-Valley Preps Playbook, your inside source for all sports when it comes to the East Bay Athletic League. Join me each week for some honest feelings about the good, the bad, and the ugly side of high school athletics!
The Big Picture gets into the amazing run of the Foothill and San Ramon Valley girls’ volleyball teams as they have charged into the CIF State Regional Championship games. Also, we still have some football teams fighting for North Coast Section titles and possible spots in CIF NorCal title berths.
EBAL Power Rankings did not change, with volleyball pretty much finalized — even with two teams still playing. There could still be some movement in football.
What to Watch has your NCS football schedule for the second week of the playoffs. You also have the CIF State Regional Finals for girls’ volleyball.
The Fast Five lets us meet Amador Valley football player McKay Kenitzer. The Amador tight end favorite music to listen to is about as American as it gets!
Got a great story idea for something coming up in the fall or winter? Let me know at acesmag@aol.com!

A crushing loss for an Amador team that is getting healthy at the right time … or was it? If the Dons had won, they likely would have been in the North Coast Section Open/Division I playoffs and could have drawn…
