An alert community member helped police apprehend youths trying to steal a car in Pleasanton early Saturday, police said.
The community member reported masked suspects trying to steal a vehicle near Hopyard Road and Secretariat Drive around 3:30 a.m., police said.
Officers found the suspects nearby and allegedly uncovered evidence linked to another stolen car. The officers cited the suspects, all of whom were youths, and released them to their parents, according to police.
