Officer Melisa Gonzalez is the newest addition to the Pleasanton Police Department, city officials announced last week.

Gonzalez, who graduated from the 165th South Bay Regional Public Safety Consortium, earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a double minor in political science and mathematics from California State University, East Bay.

“We congratulate Melisa on successfully completing her training as a police recruit,” Pleasanton Police Chief David Swing said, “and we are confident she possesses the qualities and skills to enhance our service to the community.”
