Kids and their families are invited to Valley Humane Society every Wednesday this July for educational workshops.

The in-person series will be in the community room at Valley Humane Society’s adoption center on 3670 Nevada St. in Pleasanton.
While Valley Humane will not be doing its Critter Camp this year, the educational workshop program aims to reintroduce humane lessons for kids.
The Wednesday workshops are modeled for children age 8 and older. The sessions run from 4-5 p.m. with a variety of topics for every session. Workshop topics include Pets 101 and making dog and cat toys.
Every workshop is limited to 10 participants with registration required. No fee is necessary but donations are always welcome. All participants are required to wear a face covering during the sessions.
The workshop series provides dogs and cats a chance to have loving experiences with animal-loving youth while children learn how to take care of pets, create crafts, and brighten up the life of shelter pets.
For individual workshop descriptions and to register for a session, details are accessible through the Valley Humane Society website.
