The Alan Hu Foundation is sponsoring a free webinar by a leading researcher on the effects of traumatic stress on mental health, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on March 30.

Dr. Debra Kaysen will draw from her experiences with developing accessible and scalable strategies for improving mental health, including addressing COVID 19-related mental health concerns among health care workers and others. She will discuss specific strategies to help mitigate stress associated with COVID-19 and to help build resilience.

Kaysen is a clinical psychologist and professor in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford University. Her clinical and research specialty is in treatment for those who have experienced traumatic events, including sexual-minority women, Native Americans, sexual assault survivors, torture survivors and those in active duty military.

Participants may join the webinar beginning at 6:15 p.m. After the presentation, the webinar will include 15 minutes for questions and answers. To receive the Zoom link, email by March 30 to alanhufoundation.org/events.
