The TriValley Democratic Club has announced a number of endorsements of candidates in the Nov. 8 General Election.

The endorsements were announced after a meeting in the organization’s campaign office in Pleasanton. Candidates needed 60% of the votes by the membership for the endorsement.

The endorsements follow:

Scott Jackson for Alameda County Superior Court Judge;

Will Macedo for Chabot–Las Positas Community College Board;

Julie Testa for Pleasanton Mayor;

Valerie Arkin, incumbent, for Pleasanton School Board;

Jaime Hintzke, incumbent, for Pleasanton School Board;

Steve Maher for Pleasanton School Board.

Former Pleasanton Councilwoman Cheryl Cook Kallio was endorsed by the club early in her campaign.

Ellis Goldberg, president of the Tri Valley Democratic Club, said the endorsement process allows only those who have been members for at least 28 days to vote on endorsements and those members must be notified at least five days prior to the vote.

“Club members are encouraged to work for the candidates they endorsed,” he added.

  2. I’m sure all of these candidates are nice people, I’m not going after anyone personally, I admire them for wanting to “serve” the public

    However the TV ads being run by the person running against Ms. Baker are truly insipid. And that is putting it very, very kindly. The dumbing down of ‘merica y’all.
