Firefighters are battling a grass fire that has burned about 70 acres near the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin this afternoon, a Cal Fire battalion chief said.
The fire at the U.S. Army Reserve Parks Reserve Forces Training Area was reported at 2:15 p.m., Battalion Chief Brandon Leitzke said.
The flames are traveling to the east, toward Tassajara Road, he said.
The area is north of Interstate 580 and east of Interstate 680.
No structures were affected, and no injuries had been reported as of 3:30 p.m., Leitzke said.
The Camp Parks Fire Department is responding to the fire, along with Alameda County Fire and Cal Fire, Alameda County fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said.
