Blustery winds and the threat of rain didn’t stop hundreds from walking the downtown streets of Pleasanton last night to enjoy the annual February wine stroll sponsored by the Pleasanton Downtown Association.

The “Truffles, Tidbits and Wine Tasting” event proved successful both for the scores of downtown merchants who stayed open late to serve wine and special desserts to customers but also for the PDA, which sold tickets at $30 apiece for the event.

Many strollers carried umbrellas, which they didn’t need and probably couldn’t use even if the predicted showers had come because of the strong winds.
