Robert “Bob” Armknecht died Dec. 19 at the age of 70.
Mr. Armknecht was born April 4, 1937 in San Francisco. He grew up in San Lorenzo and made his home in Pleasanton for the past 34 years.
Mr. Armknecht was the managing partner of Pleasanton Plastics for more than 30 years and was still working in sales and consulting for countertop manufacturers. A mentor to many, he was very well respected in his industry and he will be missed by many friends and colleagues.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janette; and brother, Steven and family. He was preceded in death by his children David and Jodi.
A memorial gathering will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Century House, 2401 Santa Rita Road, Pleasanton. Contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Research, Inc., 2672 Bayshore Pkwy., Ste. 520, Mountain View, CA 94043-1012.
