Students and coaches from the Roboraiders, a club that makes robotics out of Legos, put the final touches on their robot creation during the West Contra Costa Regional robotics competition. The team came in third place out of 19 teams, qualifying for the State Championships held Jan. 20 in San Jose. Students Abhiraj (Pitu) Chowdhury from Foothill High School, Andrew Eng, Peter Huang, Justin Hernandez, Amruth Darapaneni and Rohan Punamia, all from Pleasanton Middle School, first formed the club last year.
