Commuters registered in Alameda county can now vote at mobile voting units at the Pleasanton, MacArthur and Fremont BART stations. With America’s recent trends straying from election-day-only voting, the mobile units are the county’s latest attempt to have a larger voter turnout.Swing Time
More than 200 Hart Middle School students competed in the fifth annual swing dance competition this week. Planning Commissioner Anne Fox will preside as chairwoman of the Planning Commission after former Chairman Brian Arkin announced his resignation as a board member recently. According to city policy, a vote for the chair is only done in December, so Fox will preside over the commission until then.Stoneridge trick-or-treating
Pleasanton residents will be treated to some trick-or-treating at the Stoneridge Shopping Center Oct. 31.
