Six Pleasanton residents have applied to fill the open seat on the board of trustees left by the resignation of Gloria Fredette. Applicants Holly Bash, Chris Grant, Gabriel Kralik, Tanya Ludden, Jim Ott and Richard Martoglio will go through a rigorous interview process before one is named to the seat no later than May 23.
A panel of 12 district staff members and parents will first ask the applicants questions at a public meeting 6 p.m., Wednesday May 10 at the district office, 4665 Bernal Ave. Each applicant will be interviewed for a half-hour. Community members who would like to pose a question can e-mail them to the district’s Public Information Officer Myla Grasso at mgrasso@pleasanton.k12.ca.us. The committee will then write a report on each of the candidates’ strengths and weaknesses for the trustees to review.
The trustees will interview the candidates during a special May 16 meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. in the district office. The meeting will also be open to the public. The new appointment will last until Dec. 12, 2006.
