A grand-prize winning lottery ticket sold at a Chevron in Livermore won over $400,000 on last week, as part of a statewide horse race betting game called Daily Derby, according to the California Lottery website.

Sold at the Chevron at 1025 North Vasco Road on May 15, this victory marks the second six-figure California Lottery win from Livermore in recent weeks. A Fantasy 5 ticket worth $183,278 was sold at the Shell station at 809 E. Stanley Blvd. on April 17.

To earn the Daily Derby grand-prize, an unidentified recipient correctly named four elements of a horse race including the three winning horses and the race time of No.1. The odds of guessing the “trifecta and race time” are 1:1,320,000, according to the lottery website.

The grand-prize winning ticket is among 8,730 winners from May 15, with prizes ranging from $432,553 to $3.

Representatives at Chevron did not respond to requests for comment as of Monday afternoon.
