A man who died in a residential fire at the Hacienda Mobile Home Park in Pleasanton last month has been identified by the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau as Richard John Lorenz, a 77-year-old resident of the park.
Firefighters from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department responded to the fire at the park in the 3200 block of Vineyard Avenue on May 22, just before midnight.
One person was hospitalized after escaping from the burning mobile home, but Lorenz was trapped inside and died at the scene.
Firefighters attempted to gain entry to the mobile home but had to retreat when a flashover engulfed the home in flames.
The circumstances of the deadly fire remain under investigation.
