Sanjit Mandal of Tri-Valley Karate brought the Weekly to the birthplace of karatedo, Naha, in Okinawa Prefecture in Japan.

Here he is at the Chojun Miyagi Monument, which is dedicated to two renowned karate masters — Higaonna Kanryo (1853-1917), an expert of Nahate, and Chojun Miyagi (1888-1953), founder of Goju-ryu, the style Mandal has been studying for over 35 years.
