The muscle car community is ready to converge upon Pleasanton this weekend as the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association brings its annual fall showcase event back to the Alameda County Fairgrounds.
Scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, the 34th FuelCurve.com Autumn Get-Together features a little bit of everything for car and truck lovers of all ages, organizers said.
“The Autumn Get-Together is a two-day family friendly event that welcomes a combination of late model muscle machines with traditional hot rods, classic trucks, customs and unique lowriders so there will be something for everyone to enjoy,” organizers said. “Not only will the fairgrounds be packed with hot rods and classics, but there will also be three special indoor displays featuring trucks, Oldsmobiles and a special Lowrider area organized by Deadend Magazine.”
With Veterans Day arriving on Monday, the Goodguys event will feature its familiar Vettes for Vets parade including the presentation of colors and a live rendition of the national anthem. All retired and active military members get free admission to the car show with proof of service.
Other special attractions this weekend include the “metal-crunching Smash-4-Cash Demolition Derby” on Saturday, CPP AutoCross series both days and the Nitro Thunderfest vintage dragster exhibition, organizers said.
“The Get-Together also hosts a huge Swap Meet and Cars 4-Sale Coral, as well as Indoor and Outdoor Vendor Midways with many top name manufacturers and vendors on display,” they added. “There’s also a Family Fun Zone for the kids to have a chance to play some games or try a craft. Sunday afternoon culminates with a parade of chrome, glowing paint and rumbling exhaust as all the award winners, including the finalists for the 2025 Truck of the Year titles (Early and Late) roll past the stage.”
The Autumn Get-Together, which is Goodguys’ final event of the year, is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 9-10) at the fairgrounds in Pleasanton. For tickets or more information, go to good-guys.com/agt.
