A parent-founded nonprofit recently granted $175,000 to the Dublin Unified School District to expand its academic and student support services.

Donated by the Dublin Education Alliance, the funds are meant to support tutoring centers for middle school students ($100,000) and intervention programs for elementary school students ($75,000), organization officials said in a statement last month announcing the donation.

“This $175,000 investment reflects our commitment to delivering meaningful, measurable impact for students,” Dublin Education Alliance President Audrey Borland said in the statement. “By supporting both early intervention and expanded academic resources, we’re helping ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.”

Other initiatives by the Dublin Education Alliance this year include its launch of a new STEM mentorship and science fair program as well as community impact scholarships for graduating seniors.

The organization also hosted seminars about college readiness for families and the emotional well-being of students for their parents.

According to the statement, this year’s donation tacks onto its investment in the district last year totaling $20,000 to help schools increase adult supervision and student assistance.
