The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District collected almost 8,000 diapers for families who might not have enough money to purchase them as part of its 2026 Diaper Drive, according to a press release from the park district

These diapers, the park district said, will help support local children and families thanks to the help of Hively, a Pleasanton-based child and family support nonprofit.

“This diaper drive is a great example of families supporting families,” LARPD recreation field supervisor Rachel Shelnut said in the press release. “Our community came together to provide diapers, and Hively will help make sure those donations reach families who need them.”
