The City of Dublin this week announced the return of one of its most popular events, the Dublin Farmers’ Market.

Set to kick off April 4 at Emerald Glen Park, the market promises community members the chance to shop from an array of locally sourced produce, baked goods, artisanal crafts, and ready-to-eat treats.

Held in collaboration with the Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association, the seasonal, community event will take place every Thursday from 4-8 p.m. until Sept. 26.

City of Dublin staff said the Farmers’ Market has long been a cornerstone of community engagement, creating connections between farmers, producers, and residents.

“We’re excited for the return of this beloved community event,” said city staff member Shari Jackman. “The market is a vibrant gathering place where residents can connect with farmers, food vendors – and each other.”

“It promotes community engagement and supporting local businesses, as well as fostering a sense of unity among Dublin residents,” she added.

Visitors can expect to find an abundance of locally grown produce and goods, ranging from fruits, vegetables, herbs and pasta, among other items. A variety of ready-to-eat hot foods will also be offered from several vendors.

“The Dublin Farmers’ Market enriches the community and provides residents with an enjoyable and family friendly experience,” said Jackman.

To mark its reopening, the city has announced a special Multi-cultural Night on opening day. Attendees can see a showcase of talent from local performers, including Riar Academy of Performing Arts, WeDance, Pallen’s Martial Arts and Hana Makana Lani.

Arts and craft activities will also be available for children.

Throughout the year, market organizers plan to host themed nights to honor special community days on every first Thursday of the month.

For May’s themed night, the Youth Advisory Committee will showcase talent from local performers of all ages. Youth and seniors will take the stage for the Dublin Benefit Concert.

June will be LGBTQ+ Pride Night. The city encourages guests to come sporting Pride gear in support of the LGBTQ+ community.

The market will not be held on July 4. The themed-night, Family Fun Night, will instead be hosted on July 11.

For the first Thursday of August, the city will hold Back to School Night. In partnership with Dublin Police Services, organizers will facilitate a school supply drive.

September’s first Thursday will focus on the arts.

In addition to the market, the city plans to bring back its Summer Concert Series from June 6 through Aug. 1.

Guests can catch the shows on Thursdays from 6 – 8 p.m. during the Farmers’ Market. The concert series is presented by DUBS, a Dublin-based drum shop.

Admission to the Dublin Farmers’ Market is always free.
