The opioid crisis has expanded beyond the unhoused and working class to increasingly affect teenagers and individuals in smaller suburban or rural towns. Organizations like HealthRight 360 are working to combat this issue. Additionally, initiatives by nonprofits such as the Three Valley Community Foundation and Tri-Valley Haven are providing recovery support while highlighting the impact of addiction on communities outside of major industrial cities.

This video was produced as part of a program to educate youth and others about Alameda County’s opioid crisis, prevention and treatment options. The program is funded by the Alameda County Behavioral Health Department and the grant is administered by Three Valleys Community Foundation.
