Pleasanton Library hosts the English Conversation classes from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesdays; noon to 1 p.m., Wednesdays; and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursdays, at the Pleasanton Public Library, 400 Old Bernal Ave. Call 931-3411.

I wonder how much they spend? I tried looking on their website, but no such luck, also parts of their website is broken now and has missing bus schedules and 404 pages. I called to complain and was told a new website was coming soon. I wonder how much they’re spending there?
I ride on their busses when I visit Livermore and they could use smaller vehicles for some routes.
I hope the editor attends this “ConSERvation” class.

Irony can’t be made up.It is a pretty glaring mistake to make on the article’s title, though. My first response was “why do we need to conserve (preserve) the English language? And then, I read on….
There is a double irony. Sadly we do need to conserve (preserve) english in this country.
I am uncomfortable buying groceries while the checker and bagger have a conversation in Spanish.
We should not waste time requiring business signage to be in english characters or we will soon look like Fremont and San Jose, yuck!
