Three Sheets Craft Beer Bar in Dublin is preparing to close its doors after almost 12 years of operation.
The beer bar announced on Facebook that it has decided not to renew its lease on Village Parkway and that its final day for serving customers will be this Sunday (Aug. 16).
“Nearly 12 years ago, we unlocked the doors to Three Sheets with one simple goal: create a place where great beer brings great people together,” bar management said in the social media post.
Three Sheets reps described the business as more than just a neighborhood beer bar. Many celebrations have been commemorated over the years, which has created a community filled with laughter and stories. The announcement mentioned memorable celebrations including championship victories, World Cup watch parties, St. Patrick’s Day parades, birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, engagements, wedding receptions, promotion parties, reunions, retirement parties, trivia nights and pint nights.Â
“We’ve watched strangers become regulars, regulars become friends, and friends become family,” management said.
The final weekend will conclude the 12 years with a “One Last Cheers Weekend” beginning Friday (Aug. 14) from 5 p.m. to close. The event is intended to provide customers with a chance to reconnect with familiar faces and celebrate the business one last time.Â
“While this chapter is coming to a close, our hearts are full of gratitude,” the announcement said. “Thank you for making Three Sheets so much more than a neighborhood beer bar.”
