Utility of the Future
The Water Environment Federation and other national partners recently named the Dublin San Ramon Services District a 2025 Utility of the Future Today, a national recognition that celebrates innovation in water reuse and sustainability.
According to DSRSD, the water and sewer district has been a leader in recycling water for three decades. DSRSD’s recycled water program currently supplies up to 25% of “total water used within its service area, providing a reliable and sustainable local source”.
“This award recognizes decades of collaboration and innovation,” DSRSD General Manager Jan Lee said in a press release. “DSRSD’s recycled water program is a model of how local partnerships can strengthen water reliability and sustainability for the entire region.”
Contractor awards
The Northern California Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association recently recognized multiple Bay Area electrical contractors for the work they did installing various electrical and technology projects across the region, including in Dublin.
According to an October press release from NECA, which represents electrical contractors across the Bay Area, the association honored these contractors last month as part of its Project Excellence Awards program.
Bockmon & Woody Electric Co., Inc. was recognized for the DSRSD Water Pump Stations Standby Generators / Emergency Response Project. Columbia Electric, Inc. was honored for two projects: the first phase of offsite improvements at Emerald High School and the Iron Horse Regional Trail Bridge at Dublin Boulevard.
