The motorcyclist who died after colliding with a vehicle at the intersection of Paseo Laguna Seco and Portola Avenue in Livermore last week has been identified by the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau.

The coroner reported Richard Simion Sajor Jr., 47, of Livermore as the decedent in the crash last Monday.

The Livermore Police Department responded to the incident at approximately 3:30 a.m. Oct. 27, according to LPD officials.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Sajor was traveling westbound on Portola Avenue while a 61-year-old Livermore driver was making a left turn onto Portola Avenue from southbound Paseo Laguna Seco, police said.

Paramedics arrived within minutes, but the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to police. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation as of Nov. 4, police confirmed.
